Background:

Manav Kalyan Nepal (Human Welfare Nepal (HWN), is a national level Non-governmental non-profit Organization. Registered in 2063 BS in the district administration office Dhading and affiliated with SWC in 2064 BS, the NGO is devoted in community development with focus on sustainable economic growth by strengthening the socio-economic condition of the vulnerable communities. Since its establishment this NGO has been consistently involved in awareness raising, capacity development activities on various dimensions, promoting indigenous knowledge, community mobilization to income generating activities including value chain of high value crops, entrepreneurship development, promotion of gender sensitive environment friendly agriculture/poultry/dairy enterprises and climate change initiatives with special consideration to vulnerable women of the marginalized communities. The organization was also involved in emergency/recovery support to the earthquake affected communities of Dhading district in partnership with local Go/NGOs and private sector to address the emergency support need of the earthquake victims in the affected area.
